Our preschool serves families in Havelock, New Bern, and nearby areas in Eastern North Carolina. Many of our families live or work aboard MCAS Cherry Point, and we take pride in supporting our military. The preschool meets Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Our purpose is to offer children a supportive learning environment that fosters positive self-esteem, self-discipline, personal responsibility, creativity, and love for active learning that serves as the foundation for ongoing and future academic success. Our developmentally appropriate educational program is designed to meet the student's individual needs while providing the basic skills critical to a child's formal educational experience. Our comprehensive curriculum emphasizes a child's spiritual, emotional, intellectual, cognitive, social, and physical development. Enrichment programs within the curriculum offer opportunities for developing talents, interests, and skills in the visual and performing arts, physical education, library, and computer studies. FMP offers parents a sound and effective early childhood alternative with small classroom settings focusing on personalized instruction by loving, caring, nurturing, and well-qualified teachers.
